Anonymous asked: you post a lot of pictures of naked girls for a guy who I think has a girlfriend. Lucky she doesn't have tumblr

Hmm, see there are several things I find wrong with what you just said there…

Firstly, what’s so wrong with posting “pictures of naked girls”? I’m not inciting the use of speech marks there to insinuate that the pictures don’tin fact have naked girls in them, but rather to illustrate how close-minded that statement is. Excuse me while I go off on a rant here… (And feel free to read along if your heart desires it)

We live in a hypocritical world, especially when viewed from the male perspective. The media floods us with images of sexualised beings and half-naked pictures of “perfection”; unrealistic images of supposedly desired bodies are rammed down our throats everyday — everywhere we turn; on every street; on the side of every bus; in every magazine — even in children’s television! Despite this constant bombardment, we’re expected to manifest a state of paradoxical indifference to that of the female kind. Simply put — there is a gross double standard when conversing the sexuality of male to a female.

Take for example, a beach scene. On one hand, you have a group of females who lying together under a beach umbrella, checking out each guy that passes their way and talking about the various bits of their bodies (The guy’s) that entertain/concern them. Now, most people would call this female bonding, right? Well, let’s look at it from the other side…

A group of guys are sitting down in much the same way as the girls mentioned previously, checking out girls that pass them by and making comments on their bodies. You know what the difference is? That this isn’t classified so much as male bonding as perverted voyeurism.

I think the point I’m trying to make here is that there’s nothing wrong with posting a few pictures of naked women for Tumblr to see. I’m not getting a sexual thrill out of it, rather, I’m appreciating that there issomething beautiful about that particular woman’s body and it is such that I would like to share it with my followers.

Now the second part of what I don’t like about what you said — my girlfriend. Yes, she does exist and yes she does have a Tumblr and yes, she does follow me. But that doesn’t change anything. I think we’re both mature enough to know when I’m crossing the line in what I post on Tumblr and plus, I know that she shares similar views regarding erotica, in all its shapes and forms.

Frankly, it’s stupid and even a little immature that I’m even answering your “question”. If you read my Tumblr at all, you’d realize I’m no longer using the service. I do, however, still get the occasional email saying that someone has reblogged a photo of mine or followed me (Stupid people). Either way anon, it’s been nice talking to your faceless self. Goodnight.
